OLD SETTLER’S MUSIC FESTIVAL
As one of Central Texas’ signature music events, the festival features acoustic jazz
and blues, bluegrass, local favorites, and award-winning artists from around the
world. Camping, arts and crafts, and food and beverage vendors are on site during

Cinco de Mayo An annual cultural celebration that offers a variety of fun activities for the whole

RUNNING OF THE BULLS
Be the bull or run like hell. This is Lockhart’s unique version of Pamplona, Spain’s famous “Running of the Bulls.” But runners in our event don’t get gored by actual bulls! The run route in Historic Downtown Lockhart is only about a mile. This truly is a FUN RUN! Be the bull or be the runner.

COURTHOUSE NIGHTS
This is a monthly music series on the third Friday of each month from April to August.
It’s a family-friendly, free event centered around the community on the Caldwell County Courthouse lawn.

SUMMER
CHISHOLM TRAIL ROUNDUP, RODEO & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Held the second full weekend in June, CTR is the largest three-day celebration in
Lockhart. This family-friendly event hosts an award-winning rodeo, live entertainment,

LOCKHART INDEPENDENCE DAY EXTRAVAGANZA
Spend a warm summer evening with friends, family and neighbors celebrating
our nation’s independence by taking in one of the BEST small-town fireworks displays

DIEZ Y SEIS DE SEPTIEMBRE
Six nations have had sovereignty over some or all of the current territory of Texas. Once part of Mexico, we celebrate on this day Mexico’s independence from Spain. Hosted
by the Greater Caldwell County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, this annual festival

EVENING WITH THE AUTHORS

KEEP LOCKHART BEAUTIFUL
In affiliation with Keep Texas Beautiful, this annual program is a volunteer initiative
that addresses beautification, litter prevention, waste reduction, recycling and
more! With the support of our community, we can make a real difference for generations to come.

LOCKHART KIWANIS 5K STAMPEDE
Join us for this family-friendly race that provides scholarship opportunities for
local students and has become a Lockhart tradition. Come for the run, stay for the BBQ!

TEXAS MONTHLY BBQ FEST & WORLD’S FAIR
This annual festival is held in the Barbeque Capital of Texas during the first weekend
of November.

LOCKTOBER FEST
Prost! Here comes the annual Locktoberfest, soon enough overflowing shops, bars, and restaurants in downtown Lockhart, Texas. This celebration brings you the essence of world-famous Oktoberfest celebrations, combining traditional Bavarian culture with a local Texas twist.

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER IN LOCKHART
A Christmas to Remember in Lockhart is a holiday gift to the residents and visitors
of Lockhart and Caldwell County and is presented by the Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library in collaboration with the City of Lockhart, Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, Greater Caldwell County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Lockhart Downtown Business Association.
