The annual Tastes Along the Trail will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 1 pm - 5 pm. This event is designed to move people around town and in and out of the area businesses.
Shoppers will check in at the "Trail Boss Tent" located on the west end of the courthouse lawn, and be given a "Trail Guide" map with the list of participating businesses. Each business will choose food and serve a sampling to celebrate the culture reflective of either their heritage or of the Chisholm Trail. Along with fabulous food, tickets will be given with purchases made at local participating merchants. The ticket will be put into a drawing for an opportunity for a lucky shopper to win a grand prize of $1000.00 (you must be present to win). There will be live music provided by Lockhart Area Musicians Association, a movie tour, courthouse tours, and of course, lots of fun!
Participating businesses also have an opportunity to win a $1000.00 grand prize plus a beautiful crystal trophy. The registration form, along with guidelines and other information can be found here. The deadline to register is October 26th, 2015. The cost for a chamber member business to participate is $25.00. This year, 2015, we also invite future chamber member businesses to particpate. The cost for future members is $45.00.
