Taste Along the Trail
“A Celebration of Our Heritage”
The annual Tastes & Treasures Along the Trail will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 2pm - 6pm. This event is designed to move people around town and in and out of the area businesses.
Shoppers will check in at the 'Trail Boss Tent' located on the west end of the courthouse lawn, and be given a 'Trail Guide' map with the list of participating businesses. Each business will serve a sampling of food to celebrate the culture reflective of either their heritage or of the Chisholm Trail. Along with fabulous food, tickets will be given with purchases made at local participating merchants. The ticket will be put into a drawing for an opportunity for two lucky shoppers to win a gift basket (you must be present to win). There will be live music provided by Lockhart Area Musicians Association, a movie tour, and of course, lots of fun!
Participating businesses also have an opportunity to win the Taste of Lockhart Traveling Trophy. The registration form, along with guidelines and other information can be found here. The deadline to register is October 28th, 2016. The entry fee for a chamber member business to participate is included as a part of their membership benefits and future chamber member the entry fee is $50.00.
