The 6th Annual Rites of Spring will be held March 27 & 28, 2009 in Lockhart. It is an annual event sponsored by the Lockhart Business Cooperative, the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce, the Caldwell Co. Commissioners Court, and the City of Lockhart. Click here to see more info on the event.

The festival is held around the Courthouse Square and scheduled for two days with spring celebrations. It includes a Fine Arts Show & Sale, Nifty Fifty’s Car Show, Quality Handcrafted items, Food Vendors of all kinds, Fruit Pie Eating Contest, Cake Walk, Children’s Activity Corner, Cookie Decorating Contest, Dance and Karate performances, Music, and much, much more!

Businesses on the Square annually host wine tasting from Texas Wineries. As always there is the Caldwell Co. Museum open on Saturday and Sunday and Walking Tours of the Downtown area.
